# Troubleshooting

Quick answers to the questions we hear most.

## The artist, label or format isn't showing

Gatefold reads these from product metafields. Open **Theme settings > Release data** and check that each field points at the metafield your products use, as `namespace.key`. See [Release data](release-data.md).

## A product shows as a pre-order when it's already out

The release date decides it: a future date means pre-order. Check the product's release date metafield, then any badge or pre-order tags, which only count when there's no date. See [Pre-orders](pre-orders.md).

## Filters don't appear on a collection

Filters come from Shopify's free Search & Discovery app, so turn them on there. Shopify shows no filters on very large collections (about 25,000 products and up), so split those into smaller collections.

## A section is missing from the storefront

Release spotlight, Trending artists and Release calendar stay hidden until they have something to show. Pick a collection or add blocks in the theme editor and they appear.

## The buy button is greyed out on a pre-order

The pre-order acknowledgement is on. Shoppers turn on the switch above the button first. Turn it off in **Theme settings > Pre-orders** if you don't want it.

## The free shipping bar shows the wrong amount

**Free shipping threshold** in **Theme settings > Cart** must match a real free shipping rate in **Settings > Shipping and delivery**. Set it to 0 to hide every free shipping message.
